Privacy Policy
How ChannelFit handles your data.
Who we are
This service is operated by ChannelFit ("ChannelFit", "we", "us"). ChannelFit is the data controller responsible for personal data processed through this website and the ChannelFit service.
What we collect
- Account data: email address and authentication identifiers.
- Content you submit: video titles, descriptions, channel context and other text entered into the checker form.
- Report data: the AI-generated reports produced for you and the inputs used to generate them.
- Payment metadata: order ID, purchase status, and billing country, received from our payment processor (we do not see or store your card details).
- Technical data: IP address, device/browser information, and basic usage/telemetry needed to operate and secure the service.
How we use your data
- To provide the service: generate, store and deliver your reports.
- To process payments and provide proof of purchase.
- To provide customer support and respond to your requests.
- To secure the service and prevent fraud or abuse.
- To improve and maintain the product.
Legal basis for processing
We rely on the following legal bases under GDPR and equivalent laws:
- Performance of a contract — to deliver the report you purchased and operate your account.
- Legitimate interests — to secure the service, prevent fraud, and improve the product.
- Legal obligation — to keep records required by tax and consumer law.
- Consent — where required, for example for optional communications.
AI processing
Your inputs are sent to AI model providers (for example Google Gemini via the Lovable AI Gateway) to generate your report. These providers act as our subprocessors and process the data only to return the report output.
Who we share data with
- Paddle.com Market Ltd ("Paddle") — our payment processor and Merchant of Record. Paddle handles checkout, payment data, billing, tax compliance, invoicing and refund handling for all purchases. Paddle is an independent data controller for the payment data it processes. See Paddle's privacy notice at paddle.com/legal/privacy.
- AI model providers (subprocessors) — to generate report content.
- Infrastructure providers — hosting, database and email delivery.
- Professional advisers — legal and accounting, where required.
- Authorities — where required by law.
We do not sell your personal data.
International transfers
Some of our providers are located outside your country. Where data is transferred outside the UK/EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.
Retention
Reports are kept so you can revisit them via your private link. Account and purchase records are kept for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations (typically up to 7 years for financial records). You can request deletion at any time.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data (rectification).
- Request deletion of your data (erasure).
- Request restriction of processing.
- Receive a copy of your data in a portable format (portability).
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us via the support channel on this site. We aim to respond within one month.
Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, authenticated database access with row-level security, and least-privilege secret management. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary to operate the service (for example to keep you signed in). We do not currently use advertising cookies.
